It’s All About The Details

When I came across Kate from Centsational Girl Laundry Room, it gave me all the inspiration I needed to finish off our Laundry Room.  I was completely inspired by her material she used for her window treatment.  I love the colors she brought into the room to keep everything light & bright, but add depth at the same time.  Gorgeous Kate!!!
So I was on a quest now to find just the right material for our Laundry Room.  My first vision for this room was Black & White Damask curtains to cover up our ugly furnance & hot water heater.  The room is only 10’x8′ so it’s not that big of a room and 1/4 of it is taken up by the furance & hot water heater.  So we wanted to keep the room with a light airy feeling.  So the Damask would have been with a white background and black details, but not a very thick pattern.  But once I saw Kate’s material she used, I wanted more color.  I already have B&W Damask on the ironing board and small details, so I thought that was enough for the room.  You can check out this link here for more of my inspiration and how our Laundry Room started out.
Here is the Waverly fabric that I found at JoAnn’s Fabric (NY).  The name of the fabric is “Waverly Modern Essentials Pom Pon Play-Spa”.  It was 40% off and there was just the right amount to make 3 curtains.  So at $11.99 a yard, we took it home.  It came out just under $100 for the material.  I couldn’t find curtains that were premade, so we are making our own.  I will have another post on how we made the curtains and the system we used to hang the curtains in another post soon.

Here are a couple of other elements that will go in the room.  I’m not sure what I will put in the basket yet, but the canister will house my powder detergent.  I picked up both at Home Goods.  Love that store.
So what do you think of the fabric?  I’m in love with it.  Is there any Waverly fabric that you have your eye on.  Do share the name or link with everyone.
I can’t wait to show all of you the curtains when they are done.  We have a very busy June, so I’m not sure how quickly they will go up, but we will try to get them done soon.
Thanks for stopping by everyone!  Have a great day!  I would love to hear your comments, so please leave one if you want.  I love sharing and inspiring others, but I also love feed back and sharing of others ideas and thoughts.  :)
